Dress Code

Maintaining proper conduct and dressing appropriately in the classroom play a pivotal role in the education and training of dancers enrolled at Bay Dance Collective. These guidelines serve a dual purpose: fostering self-discipline and cultivating a positive and efficient learning atmosphere. The establishment of a dress code is not only about instilling discipline but also contributes to heightened focus, energy, peer acceptance, unity, and collaboration, all while minimizing distractions and ensuring a uniform aesthetic. The emphasis on a well-groomed appearance is not only an integral aspect of dance discipline but is also imperative for safety considerations.

At Bay Dance Collective, each level is distinguished by a specific color leotard and skirt as outlined in the dress code. Failure to comply with the stipulated dress code may result in limitations on class participation for students.

For a comprehensive breakdown of the dress code for each level and details on how to acquire the required attire, please consult the BDC Dress Code Guidelines.

The school provides physical samples of uniform items for all levels, available for inspection at the studio if needed. You may purchase leotards, ballet slippers, tights, and team jackets via Student Portal. We accept Cash, Venmo, Zelle for dance attire purchases.

*It is essential to note that only plain water is permitted within the classrooms.
